Isabella of France by killingarkady Isabella of France by killingarkady
Isabella of France, my second entry for Miss Doll History. I need to stop entering pageants; their just way too addictive. In 1307 she married Edward II of England and became Queen of England.
Her heraldic dress features the coat of arms of her two families - lilies on a blue field for the House of Capet and three lions passant for the House of Plantagent.

Meh, I guess she's ok. I don't think I like her very much though. The heraldic dress was a pain, I didn't realize it would be tricky until I had gotten half way done with it. My favorite parts are the portraits nose (weird, I know :) ) and the lions on her dress because they're cute.

I love the subtle face edits of the full doll to match the features of the portrait. It really helps me to believe they're both the same character :D

The doll is also brilliant and I love the positioning and typography. It all ties together to make a very nice entry :D

Thanks so much! This is one of the first dolls where I've really focused on face edits, so it's good to hear that they worked out (:
